The District 5370 Belize Playground Committee needs your help. We are having a work bee on Saturday, Oct. 13th from 10 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. to prepare the playground equipment for shipment to Belize. The location is near Fort Saskatchewan and car pooling will be arranged. If you plan to attend, please contact Wendy Andrews at 780-231-3105 or John Vrolijk.  We need strong bodies and folks who can use a drill with a ¾” drill bit. Please bring the cordless drills and the bits. We are labeling each piece of equipment with a metal tag for powder coating purposes and loading onto a truck.

We also need to rent a porta potty for that day and we need a truck to haul the 40 foot trailer that we are loading. The truck will be hauled to Calgary and then hauled back in 2 weeks or so once the powder coating is complete. If you have information or leads on where we might procure these things please let us know as soon as possible.

The Playground Committee will install three playgrounds in Belize in Feb. and March of 2013. They will be located in Orange Walk, Corozol and Western Paradise, a small Mayan Community. We will also be doing a major project in Belize this year on Playgound Leadership training.
